How many PCs can us MS ICS with a hub?

I'm using MS's ICS feature with the following: CableModem<---->W2K<---->W98 employing a crossover cable.
I have a hub and a laptop sitting on a shelf. Can I do the following?

Internet<---->Cable Modem<---->W2K<---->Hub<<====*>>[W98, Laptop]**

*Note double line to indicate two separate computers.

**Both PCs in [ ] brackets use W98.
 
I think the limit is something like 10 computers. I've certainly had it working with 3 (and a 56k modem).
