How many other people remember poring over Computer Shopper for the latest hardware prices?

Damn, I am certainly glad those days are over. :) I hated that!

Or, how about buying the same magazine and looking over the state-by-state BBS listings?

Yea, by the time you went through it and found what you wanted, the new issue has hit the newstands rendering your careful research obsolete. :)

Ahh the good ole days.

I miss the days of paying $2.95 and getting 1000 oversize pages in return. :)

"Let's see...sound cards, Creative Labs...pages 17, 19, 43, 47, 56, 78....." ;)

Hahahahhaha... I had forgotten about that... are those things still around? I used to have a closetfull of those mags, from like 1990-1993, because i figured they'd be funny reading someday... Plus my BBS was listed! HAH

Yes, they sure are. It's funny to see a few of the mail-order places on pricewatch now. Like dirtcheapdrives, which I always remember was in the back of CS in the b&w section.

CS is still around, but it's trying to look more like an actual magazine now. Meaning lots and lots of ads.

I used to love doing that! I'd buy my copy from the local newsagents, come home make a cup of tea and head straight for the back pages. :)
