How many Ohms should an anti-static wrist strap show?

I bought a cheap Rosewill anti-static wrist strap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899261005

I have my multi-meter set to Ohms Auto. When I check it on the wrist plate and clip it is showing .997 M Ohms. Does that mean it's working correctly?
