How many of you web design for $?

Nocturnal

Lifer
Like on the side, side job type of deal, how many of you web design? How did you learn and how long did it take you until you started to get clients?

I learned by messing around with it when I was 15 or so. I got clients once I discovered the wonderful world of internet forums.

I do, but rarely. I'm pretty decent about it, and have learned alot graphically at school (not going to school for web design) so I feel I've really grown in terms of what I can do. I help out my roommate with his code. He runs yankidank.com, and he cheats on alot of his code, often using templates and other crap.

I learned around 13 (now 19) by fooling around. My bro was (and still is) very adept with computers, so I learned a lot from him. I've made a few webpages for money (and a lot more for personal use) and I have another big project coming up for a new startup company.

I design websites, the look of them, not the functionality of them. It's pretty much a full-time job now, pays me nice money. I also do other kinds of graphic design work.
