How many of you use your initials for your name?

I've been noticing this quite a bit here among the engineers, they prefer to be called by their initials. How common is this?

I used to. Like in 7th grade. Which is the maturity level I would expect for the folks you're running into.

People used to call me by my initials when I was in high school.. I don't know how it got started but I never asked anyone to do it. Now I just use it as my user name here.

My initials don't fit well together for me to be called by them exclusively. Prefer my name. However people do seem to switch from using my full name to my shortened name regularly.
