But I can tell you that my young nieces fed my my 85 pound dog about a half pound of grapes and he was fine and still hungry for more, so for big dogs, its not a big issue. I won't feed him grapes though because its not worth the risk and grapes are expensive compared to his dog food.

We used to feed my last dog (RIP Charlie ) a fancy dog-food called Merricks which had recognizable veggies mixed in it, more for the benefit of the humans buying it then the dogs is my guess.

I mention this because (apparently) green peas were not something he enjoyed! There were only a few in each can AND we mixed his food with rice/dry food because he was a big boy at 105 lbs.

Somehow no matter how quickly he gobbled his food, in the bottom of an otherwise gleaming-clean steel bowl would be a bunch of perfectly intact and individually licked free of every drop of gravy green peas!

"Poisonous" is perhaps an exaggeration ... "not healthy at all" is closer to the truth. For most dogs a few grapes/raisins will just cause the runs. *(Chocolate for example OTOH does qualify as "poison" for dogs as even small quantities can kill)

Do keep in mind that it's entirely possible for both dogs and people to consume stuff which is toxic in limited quantity and not become obviously ill or drop dead ... otherwise there would be no beer!

Yep, the canine capacity to work around peas is amazing.

Hot pizza isn't too good for dogs either. My old shepherd/husky snarfed a big slice of pizza off my plate, fresh from the oven. Seeing the expression on his face as he realized he had a mouthful of 400F was almost worth it.

If I don't clean up the apples/pears when they fall off the tree, my dog will eat them, get drunk and surly on the fermented fruit and harass the neighbors/anybody that walks by and then puke them up on my curtains.

I found this out the hard way. Had some leftover Tavvas - a Cypriot stew made of a shit-ton of cooked down onions and lamb. I gave some to my 60lb Pit/Lab Mix as a treat. Not a lot since I wanted most of it, it's a rare treat for me too. A little while later he started shaking and panting a bit, so I hit Google and found out onions are bad for dogs. This was late at night so I was debating whether I should rush him to 24/7 animal hospital but luckily he stopped shaking after like 20-30 minutes and was totally fine the next day. If he was a small dog it might have been a bigger issue. Phew.

They are toxic for dogs, as are raisins. I've know this for decades, decades before the internet.
