How many of you know that your state probably has energystar rebates?

Just bought a fridge for my new house. My credit card isn't happy... but it was at least on sale for a few hundred off. Plus 10% off from the store sale on top of that for energystar appliances (home depot). Plus $100 manufacturer mail-in rebate. Then went to google to see if Alabama has state "rebates" for energystar stuff, since I heard some states do... yep. $150 rebate for that.

Buying an appliance soon? Check with your state to see if you can get cash back from them on top of whatever deal you find. It's no wonder why state economies are bleeding left and right!

I know, because they constantly have light bulbs and refrigerators in the lobby at work on display with the EnergyStar stickers everywhere. That probably just lets them mark it up more, though..
