Hate to putyo down, but judging by the current trend, by the time you graduate, you will have to search for a job in India.

This will not deter me. I will find something. Most help desk jobs are being sent over to India. I know many computer scientists still around working for anywhere from 50-80k a year.

I started working on mine a long time ago. I'm finally to the point where the end is actually in view, if still a little ways off.

I went into CS for all the wrong reasons: because I loved computers and grew up programming.

College basically killed most of my hobby coding iniative. I have been thinking about taking a 2 year paramedic program. Do that as a day job and keep computers as my hobby where it belongs.

The minute things stop being fun its time to move on :(

I was ruined by assinine systems teachers who know sh!t all about programming or actually having any creative concept. All they know is their stupid UML and development lifecycle blubberish they pander out to the class as if they are know-it-all industry experts (when in fact most of them have never had a job doing real development). Having to kiss their ass and do everything they wanted just for marks was absolutely horrible.

But don't let me dissuade you. As long as you are doing CS for the money and women its all gravy.
