Reselling parts you purchased at a higher cost is not profit. I don't buy 'bargains' and resell them on elay, it's not worth my time..

I report every cent, and still have been audited, and won the audit, but what a royal pain in the rear that was.

It depends..... if it's something the IRS will find out about (for example if you win $1000 in a casino), yes. If not (for example, if I win $50 in a casino) no. They already steal plenty of my money, if there's any chance of me keeping more of it, I'm taking it.

Hmmm, I'm looking at line 11 of the Ohio 1040EZ. It says, "Ohio Use Tax". I don't understand? :eek:

Ornery, the "use tax" is the way Ohio is trying to tax internet activities.... anything you purchased over the internet and didn't pay sales tax on, you're supposed to report and pay 5.75% on. "me? Internet? No sir, I didn't purchase anything on AOL, I don't even have AOL". ;)

You have to make at least 7K to file taxes, I never reached that goal. Probably this year I will :)

Screw them they are a bunch of crooks the IRS.
I a small contractor and they take way to much from me.
