inspired by some thread i replied to.

I've realized that all of my computers (uh all two of them at the moment) are side-panel-less.
I think I've actually lost them.

Do you use them?



I've ran a few duct tape rigs over the years. thats why that is in the poll ;)

used to have a comp with no side panel, then i got un-ghetto and got a real case :)

in most cases you will have better cooling with the cover on, unless you have some crazy floor fan drilling air into the case.

No. My case doesn't have any fans, and on a cold day this room is still at least seventy degrees.

Full metal jacketed w/ dynamat all around on the inside. Cuts down the noise a bit.

nah..i got pretty lights in side my cases and a water cooling kit...it looks to damn pretty to cover it up

well, mine isn't ON it technically. it is leaning against the side of the box almost at a 90 degree angle

A 90 degree angle? So your panel is laying on it's side, nearly perpendicular to the side of your case? :confused:

My CPU is 7 degrees cooler without the side panel. This slows the fan from 5600rpm to 3400rpm. Actually makes it quieter to open the case.

Mine's much cooler with the panel on. I get better flow with the panels all on than with them off.
