How many of you have been on the new Airbus A380?

I'm gonna go on one for the first time for a long haul flight. I've seen many of the discovery channels shows on this monstrosity. What I'm looking forward to the most is the reduced noise level...I've heard it's half of what it is in older planes. That's quite a reduction! There appears to be slightly more leg room and generally more space all round (i'm talking about economy of course!). The windows are much bigger as well but I'll probably pass on a window seat because the aisle seat on long-haul flights is a life-saver!

So who here has been on one and how was your experience? Is the landing more smooth compared with other aircraft?

Edit: One of the cameras is mounted at the top of the tail. Now is this some view or what!

He does not have many choices - most airports are offlimits to the aircraft and will stay that way.

I've never really been nervous of flying. Heavy turbulence can make me uneasy...like most others!

Flying between two major hubs ... approximately 11,100km apart. Go figure. :p

What the hell kind of answer is that

A cryptic one so we can't stalk him as easy.

Now excuse me as I find the places with google and plan my kidnapping.

Yes...you do that. :) That's the kind of answer that doesn't give away any of my personal details and at the same time gives the person asking the question a faint chance of figuring it out.

Nope, not yet. I know someone who has, and he said it was a pretty sweet ride.

Not many airlines are operating it yet: Emirates, Quantas, and Singapore. (Serving destinations I don't typically fly to.)

Qantas, no U.

None of the ones currently operating hold very many more pax than a 744.

Only a couple customers have ordered versions that hold near the max capacity of ~800.

If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going... :D
