ordered an opty 165 last friday afternoon due to the ccbbe's they were pushing out...

today the shipping info came along. i never knew ups workers could take wednesday and friday off due to turkey day on thursday. lazy bums. now i'm stuck with my crappy 3700 to oc.

Nope, me either. IMO, with the huge volume of packages they deal with on a daily basis, I think they do a fabulous job...I don't like them for livestock delivery, ( Fed-Ex and DHL suck for that too) but otherwise, no complaints about the service I get. Just last week, I had an order from Newegg I was waiting for. The truck was in my neighborhood at about 11 a.m., but no delivery...Tracking showed it on the truck for delivery...STF? About 6 p.m., the driver showed up with it. Apparently, the truck loader got it in the wrong bin, (rural addresses) and he couldn't find it...Instead of making me wait till the next day, he went out of his way to bring it to me on his way back to the UPS facility...
 
You would begrudge others the right to spend time with their families over the holidays? Shame.


Its not like your computer is nonfunctional, your current 3700 is going to give similar performance to the Opteron, even with both OCed to their utmost.

You don't count the day it was picked up or shipped. You're probably on the opposite coast...

I wouldn't mind being a UPS driver.

Decent Pay, great benefits. Great Pension plan.
 
I like Fedex and UPS. Fedex is usually faster, but once they dropped off a $500 package at another house down my street (quite a ways)... I still prefer them though.
 
The only think I hate about UPS is if you need to pickup, you have to call by 7pm and arrange to pick up the next day (for example if the package is something that needs to be signed for and you won't be there the next day when they try to make delivery again). With FedEx, you can pickup the same day and you don't have to call ahead.
 
Bought some ram off another member here. He mailed it the 3rd from Georgia and it started to move on the seventh. I live in Iowa but went to California??????? Supposed to deliver on the 20th so far.
 
At least they're better than USPS...

USPS lost a money order and a package I was expecting...
So now the sellers have to resend the same item or pay thru paypal...
 
I dont hate them but I prefer Fedex just because I like their site better and the tracking system can be a little iffy but thats just me. If I can choose I'd go with Fedex but either one is fine with me.
 
UPS in my area blows. UPS has damaged a bunch of my packages and decided to skip delivering to my house several times. I think it's just the UPS near my house thats sucks, because UPS provides excellent service when I was living near school.

this one time, i selected that free shipping and i didnt get it for SEVEN DAYS even tho tracking said it was RIGHT IN THE NEXT TOWN for like FOUR DAYS

They do a good enough job. Kinda bummed that the Wii I ordered for my brother wont be here in time for his visit on Thanksgiving (shipped from Tennessee on 11/17, est delivery to CA 11/27!) but oh well, I bet they're pretty busy.

 
All my UPS deliveries come in thrashed. They make typical, close overnight ground deliveries into weeks of delivery time (Sparks, NV to Irvine,CA-12 business days). And I had one idiot employee hang up the phone on me.
