how many of you don't use windows nor linux?

Novel Netware 3.14!

It's working as a file server, no problems! It has been running for at least 4 years without any problems!
Soon to be replaced by a Linux System running samba...

Other than Novel, BSD, Solaris, MAC OS, BeOS common forms of UNIX (Tru64, HPUX,etc) there isn't much
choiche...and when comes to pc's the choice is even smaller! You can thank the redmond company for that!
No Digital Research OS no IBM OS no nothing..

I use a mix of quite a few OSes. Windows for some things. Mac OS X for my notebook (best desktop OS out there), OpenBSD for my servers, and Linux for a machine that needs to be replaced (or atleast fixed 😛).

interesting.

what do you think of BeOS? is there actualy software for that? i'm not thinking of getting it, i'm just asking.

BeOS was one of the best OSes out there for a while. There is some software out there for it and a cultish following. One of the developers is working on some linux things I think.

is there an OS that will run High end games like Unreal Tournament or Everquest? maybe Dark Age of Camelot or up and coming games? or are we all fooked with MS forever :-( damn Direct3d

There would be if people pestered the game companies enough.

actually there IS an Unreal Tournament distro for Linux.......i'm not sure how you would install patches or mods though 🙁

my buddy is trying to install WINE on his computer......he's so close, he has a fake C: drive but 1 DLL missing 😀

I have WINE running on my Linux box, and it's pretty nice... it does crash however when it runs high task programs, but it's more then good enough for running starcraft or other fun, not so power hungry games

Works exactly like Windows... you use the UMOD and they automatically install.

I play the Tac Ops, Strike Forces , and Unreal Flight UT MODS on my Linux box all the time..

my buddy got WINE to work but it's not as good as we hoped.......the FPS is brutal when the screen is the size of a pack of cigarettes.

i hope they port over Half-Life soon

actually no it's not, the following sentence would be wrong:
how many of you don't use windows or linux?
correct form would be:
how many of you don't use windows nor linux?

see 🙂

double negative i tell you!

how many of you use neither windows, nor linux?

but yours has 2 negatives in it 2, but both point to different words

neither to the windows, nor to the linux

mine was don't to the windows and nor to the linux

<< but that is not what i asked

your sentence is asking "how many of you use Windows but do not use Linux?"

i don't care about the people using Windows

no, this sentence:

<< how many of you use neither windows, nor linux? >>
