How many of you changed your lives this year?

As we come to the close of Q3 of 2009 I'd like to reflect a bit on what has happened.

1) I started making real money again.
2) I drink about 20% of what I used to.
3) I am falling in love with my wife all over again.
4) It looks like our adoption is getting closer.
5) I feel good about myself, and I am loosing weight.

For this first time, in a long time, I am optomistic about the future.

I want all of you to know that no matter how bad things look, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I swear it. It's there if you work for it.

Grad school.

There may be light at the end of the tunnel, but it's an exceptionally long tunnel. ;)

It took me 3.5 years to get my MBA. It seemed like twice that. Stick with it, it will pay off.

I changed my life, it seems to be for the worse. I'm in search of the ever elusive silver lining, but it has yet to reveal to me anything positive.

My life really hasn't changed at all this year. Hopefully, it'll remain so for the next to come.

I went back to school.

Thats about it.
I never drank.
Never smoked.
No girl.
No job.
No life.

Nope, school is the only thing new.

It does, it really does.

I am compelling evidence that life can sometimes suck.
Good news is I have a little kidney disease to take my mind off all this stuff. But dont worry, the government sends me a big fat hundred dollar check every month to make up for it. Living on easy street now.

Lost 6lbs in 5 weeks and learned how to count calories (see Health and Fitness forum).
In a loving relationship that only gets better.
Starting a small business venture with my brother.
Been completing a DIY project each week.
Work has been great.
Rent has stayed the same for two years now.
Phillies won the World Series.

Still a lot left to do though. Want to achieve more certs at work, maybe go back to school part time for another cert to become a lead. Want to start some side businesses for more cash. Saving for a house. Maybe pop out a kid in a couple years.

Have a

1) Finished my teaching certification program (finished my undergrad)
2) Got my driver's license (and a car)
3) Moved out of the campus area (not above a bar anymore)
4) Moved in with gf
5) Got a job that I'm good at and has great people to work with (and I think what we're doing is a good project)
6) Making more money (enough for me to feel like I can buy a few more toys)
7) Started some crazy contests on ATOT that have succeeded in entertaining me (I'll get back to the weekly challenge eventually, but I have my own rather large DIY project that I'm currently working on)
