I legally dropped my first name and use my middle name now. Just had to sweet talk the lady at the social security office when I was 15 and I was set from there on. 😀

My name is Scott, I go by Scott. Many people call me Scotty even when they first meet me. I thing I just look like a Scotty.

was christened James but have always been known as Jamie
I don't want to bash here, but I really dislike men using names that are normally for women. About 80% of people named Jamie are women, so it has always bothered me when I saw a man using that name. Then I grew up and realized all the boys I knew when I was young who were named Jamie grew up to be gay. I'm not saying you are gay or that there is anything wrong with being gay. But that is always what I think of. The same goes for men named Kim, or Pat, etc.

Just to add, I'm Scott. There are a lot of us in this thread. I'm always called Scott.

Most of my friends use my first name, but people that are too lazy to become my friends call me by the color of my hair.

That is funny because a guy I used to work with was named Jim.. when he came out of the closet he wanted everyone to call him Jamie... he's still Jim as far as I'm concerned.

rarely use the name on my birth certificate, Max. Only on the net!

Have been called Marc ever since I was about 1 month old and a Nurse read the Drs handwriting wrong and my Mom liked it.

Real trouble when I got my passport.
