How many of us saw STARWARS (original) in theaters?

The news of Phantom Menace dvd release spawned this lame discussion, But I did see it, many moons ago.

But my parents did take me to see Empire Strikes Back. I was like 4 months old.

I saw it 13 times when it was originally released. I spent the whole afternoon and part of the evening in the theatre in the mall watching it at one point. (back when you could do that)

I remember when I first came to the US. I used to go to my uncle's house a lot and he had ESB on video. I watched that video many times, and it was years later that I realized that it was Star Wars.

I don't think I was born either, but I have seen all four Star Wars movies in the theatres during their rereleases.

I saw it when it first came out...luckily I didn't see any of the massive lines that most theaters experienced...and went back 7 more times over the following few weeks

I saw it and when I was going home they broke into the radio and said Elvis was dead.

Yep, I was there at the first showing in 1977. Shortly after that went to see OH God. The difference in the parking lot after those two movies was startling, after SW it was everybody for themselves in Tie Fighters, after Oh God it was all polite and orderly.
