Migraine:

bed ridden, sensitivity to light, noise, and even movement. (like turning to a side). I also get naucious and can barely make it to the toilet to save my life. Auras are always symptoms beforehand and that's when I take my Zomig.

Cause / trigger (for me): MSG ingredient is evil.

BTW, sorry for your wife, Amish... I wouldn't wish migraine pains on my worst enemy, much less 24 hour-long ones.

I'm glad you can just "not think" about your migraines, and they
go away... but it kind of trivializes the condition for those of us
who are constant sufferers that don't get much relief from the
medicine/bio feedback offered today.

...sorry if i'm being touchy, but there are a lot of misconceptions
about Migraine - a lot of people who equate them with standard
aspirin headaches - lots of dirty looks from co-workers - Bosses
who are total asses - significant others that just don't understand -
missed social occations - ruined vacations - people who think you're
a head case - i could go on and on...

Mine used to be bad...sometimes they are still bad and I can't do anything that requires sight. Just that once you understand what pain is there are ways to practice ignoring it. Now not to say that is good all of the time...

Girls get p!ssed when they can't tickle me...even if I want to be tickled it rarely happens...it upsets my wife when she is trying to play.

I suffer from chronic headaches, but rarely get migranes. The only medication that works for any of my headaches is Exederin Migrane.

I used to get migraines so bad I had to go to the hospital on numerous occasions as a young child. Fortunately, I pretty much grew out of that and very rarely get migraines anymore.

Chronic headache's/sinus headaches. Get a horrible migraine every 2 to 3 months. My worst had me bedridden for a day. I couldn't move a muscle or i'd vomit. I was 10. I thought I was dying.
The last few migraines i've had have triggered some crazy dreams. Most memorable are the time I dreamed in Scheme (coding language based on Lisp). The other memorable time was dreaming in play form. I was reading a play in my sleep, but could see the play happening. Hard to explain.

Wow, I am so used to people that "think" they have a migraine whining about a little headache. What a suprise.

I suffered thru many migraines as a teenager (Doc said most men only get them during puberty), luckily, I have not had one since I was 17 (now 33).

They would start as a "pin prick" feeling in the back of my eyes, I would see floating bubbles as well. Soon, my vision would "tunnel', until I lost sight all together. I would puke something terrible....ANY light, and ANY sound were unbearable. I would basically pray for death for 4-6 hours. The most awful feeling I have ever felt.

Yep, I get them. Not my idea of a good time. The last one I had made me vomit almost uncontrollably, and my sense of balance was shot to hell. Glad I was at home when it hit, I think a drive home from work with that wouldn't have ended well.
