How many of the Next Gen consoles do you plan on getting?

By next gen I mean XBox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. Even though the 360 has been out for a year already. So if you already have a 360 and plan on getting a PS3 then vote for 360 & PS3, just mention that you have already bought the 360.

Seems that the Wii is quite popular around here which I'm happy to see as I'm a long time Nintendo fan, although I currently only own a 360 and DS. It's going to be interesting to see if Nintendo really can make good on their promise of revolutionizing gaming controllers or if their controller/nun chuck combo will end up being an interesting gimmick. Here's hopping it works out. I see nothing at all interesting about the PS3 personally it's just an Xbox 360 on steroids. And it wont be long before you can easily get better graphics on the PC than the PS3, you can already get better than the 360. It all comes down to games in the end, I'd rather play a good Atari 2600 game than a boring eye popping next gen title. In that department Nintendo has never let me down. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 will no doubt end up having so many titles available for both that you will easily be able to find good titles amongst the mess for just about any genre. But it's the mess that worries me. So far I've only found a few 360 titles I like.

I'm still very much enjoying my PSX. Once I'm done with the games I've got, I'll probably move up to a PS2. After that point, I think I'll grow out of it, but who knows.

At some point or another I'll probably own all three, since each one should hopefully have games worth owning it for.

The only thing about the Wii that has me interested is playing Smash Bros. online. I do not want to be waving a remote around, or play old games for the hundred thousandth time.

The PS3 I'm not really too interested in at the moment. I'll have to wait and see how games progress on it. I don't think Gran Turismo will be enough this time, I didn't like the 4th one very much, and it doesn't sound like they're probably going to go back to a more fun control style.

I'm selling my second 360, and am gonna wait until there's more that I want to play on it. The only game that really catches my interest much until about march is Gears of War, and while I'm sure it'll be a great game, I'm not going to keep my 360 just for it.

Eventually I'll buy all 3.

- Wii at launch
- 360 next year sometime, especially if there is a price drop
- PS3 when the price is ~$250 and I own an HDTV

Currently own GameCube, Xbox, PS2 (as well as Dreamcast, PSX, N64, SNES, Genesis, NES, Atari 7800, Atari 2600 - but they aren't hooked up)

The Wii, I want to be able to play the oldschool games.

I don't care if the new controller/nun chuk flops or not, I'm planning to get the classic Wii controller (gamecube style) anyway.

Have a Xbox 360. :) Might get a Wii, but I still suspect it'll be a massive disappointment.

There are devices you can buy on Newegg that will allow you to use your video game system with a monitor. Cost is $50+ (they include a TV tuner as well). I'm using an LCD monitor as my TV in my study.

If the Wii did DVDs, I might have gotten that. I'll probably get a 360 a ways down the road from now.

Already have a 360. If things go as planned money wise, I'll get a Wii for my kids and I sometime next year.

Already own a 360. Might get a Wii by March or so, if something catches my interest.

Don't see myself purchasing a PS3 for a couple of years, if ever. I'd like to eventually catch up on some cheap games.

yeah, none at launch, however; usually if the price is right and the games out are fun, i wouldn't mind a wii. (the zelda gameplay looks really fun); when i usually buy consoles its because i really want to play the games out (i bought a gamecube for the resident evil series esp 4, and bought a ps2 so i could play ddr and medievil and all the new final fantasy games), so maybe when ff13 hits, ill jump on the ps3.

I plan to only get the Nintendo Wii console, but I'm plan to get one later on.
