This is something that I hated about Oblivion, it is a time sink and it is repetitive as hell.

i dunno, i take about 5 minutes - on average - to close any Oblivion Gate.

The rewards outweigh the time spent there. 😉

5 minutes to close and 90 oblivion gates, not counting time between them, that is what? 450 grinding minutes for sigil stones?

letsee . . . i spent a total of 1016 hours with Oblivion to *finish* it . . . that's 6096 minutes . . . 450 minutes is less than 1% of the total. 😛

😀

not a 'grind' for me

You played Oblivion for 1016 hours:Q

Is that with or without fast traveling?

no . . . not 1016 hours . . . more like 1,250 hours . . . 1016 was when i *finished* it and then went on to play the user-created mods. 😛

😱

😀

i was the first guy to report that i *finished* the game at just over 1,000 hours on the Oblivion Forums . . . all skills and abilities maxed at Level 92 [using the jail exploit - no cheats]

and i didn't use fast travel for probably the first 500 hours or so . . .
