How many music albums do you (legitimately) have?

My dad and I share a collection of over 1000. I've personally purchased a couple hundred myself.

I just did a directory search of my primary music folder, and have 1976 directories. Cut that in half to remove multiple cds in one album, and for material I "acquired", then add it again for the physical media I have, then add another half for specialized digital music, it looks like closer to 3k. More than I thought.

Less than 50, all of which are on CD. I rarely buy full albums, just the songs I like (iTunes).

iTunes say 885 but iTunes has math problems when it comes to albums with multiple disks or multiple artists. 750 is a more reasonable estimate. Most are on CD though we were buying downloads for awhile until we went back to CD more better quality. We bought a few FLACs as well but not that many musicians offer FLACs.

About 325 at present but I've owned maybe another 175 that for one reason or another have disappeared.

I had about 300 vinal albums that are all gone and I replaced many with CD over the years. I have less than 10 digital downloads as the bit rate tends to be pretty low -- rather rip the CD at higher bit rate.

I've only ever bought 1 entire album in my life. I was 13 at the time. Oh--I also bought the Star Wars sound track but I sold them.

I had a few cassettes, but CD was just picking up momentum right when I started collecting. Still have my MC Hammer CD that I got for Christmas Overall, I have over 1k CDS and still buy them to this day.
