I'm just curious. I've got only about 1 or 2 Gigs. Somewhere in the ballpark of 500 or 600 songs. I'm pretty picky.

One of my friends has more than 90 gigs of MP3s. Several of mine have 30. I wanna know who can beat those numbers.

I answered this the last three times it was asked, it hasn't changed much, maybe a couple dozen more.

I didnt have too many, but I recently spent a couple of days downloading and am up to about 6000 songs now ;)

edit: spelling (well damn, now that I've already been quoted-can loading->downloading be considered a spelling mistake? :))

The people with 90 gigs are overkill. Thers is no possible way you could listen to/ enjoy/ profit from so many. After 2000 songs it just becomes overkill and a collection-type thing. That said, I probably have around 1500

I don't have alot of mp3's and am not really familiar with all the details of them. I was wondering how many you can have in your play list without bogging down your computer? My dad says he has a couple hundred in his and it takes a while for them all to load up. I plan on making a lot more of them from a lot of my cd's and think it would be cool to have hundreds of my favorite songs to shuffle through.

I plan to eventually rip my 1200+ CDs to my MP3 jukebox server, which at high quality could easily take over 100 GB. For MP3s I didn't buy, I have only a handful: copies from a friend's out-of-print celtic CD and a live bootleg or two. If I like an artist enough to keep listening, then I buy the artist's CD.
