How many more months?

How much longer do you think we will wait for the next generation of new video cards come out? Not the 9800GX2 but the real Geforce 8800 Ultra single video card chip killer! 9 months + ?

NVidia has GT200 (next-gen) slated for mid-2008. I believe AMD/DAAMIT has said that they won't be releasing a new next-gen architecture this year, but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure AMD is looking at improving multicard implementations, as that would reduce R&D costs and leave them room to grow.

I would guess mid-2008, late Q2-Q3.

It really depends on whether AMD releases R700 anytime soon. R700 has taped out apparently, if there's no problems it could mean a Q2 2008 launch. If there are problems, it could mean Q3-Q4 or even next year if it's really bad. R600 taped out way back in 2006 but was only available in Q2 2007.

next major thing AMD is gonna release is gonna be fusion. Either that flops and competition in computers dies... or it is awesome and blows everything out of the water... and nvidia and intel releases the aces in their sleeves to compete with it.

Either way expect 2008 to be a dry dreary year for computers.

It depends of ATI's 3870 x2 and if it beats the 9800 x2.

If it doesn't, Nvidia will feel good just sitting on their success and milk us.
