how many monitors do you have

im thinking of using a 3 monitor setup for my new computer a 21in CRT and 2 17in LCD's, the sole purpose of this computer im building is to do graphic design work Video editing and DVD authoring

I use 2 monitors I do have a friend who has a three monitor setup. I say go for the more the merrier...but may I ask what kind of capture card are you using for your video editing as I am looking to buy one and I am not sure where to start.

i havent made up my mind yet but for starters i would look at the matrox 2500rt the lowest price on it is around $350 its what i used at school

A nice easy way to achieve 3 monitors is to use a matrox PCI card with 2 monitor outputs and then a gaming AGP card.

I only have one because it's a 21" monitor. It's so big I get vertigo playing games but I'm getting used to it.🙂

If you want to have a 3 monitors setup, with one card, and with the ability to play games at sensible resolutions, then your only option is a Matrox Parhelia.
But you`ll pay through the nose for it. I dont think that theyve come down in price yet.
