Since im not sure how to create a poll out of this, i thought id just post a thread with this question to all you guys out there:

"Do you actually like your mother-inlaw"

Id like to hear your brutal honest opinions on this matter. Reason im doing this "would-be poll" is to see if my thinking is correct... i dont think many men really care to be around the mom in law unless they have too...

well? whats the scoop!?

My MIL is great, really great lady who doesnt nose into our business, loves to cook me dinner, and is all around really easy to deal with. No complaints here.

My wife feels the same about my mother.

We consider ourselves quite fortunate not to have ANY family fighting or bullsheet to deal with.

My MIL is a clone of Lucy. If a little bit is good, then a whole lot is better. She has done the damndest things, absolutely mindless. I love her very much and she loves me. I have never had a problem with anybody in my wife's family. In fact, I prefer being around them more than my own family.

My future mother-in-law is alright. There are sometimes when I dislike her, and then there are times when I like her. All-in-all she is a good person.

My sister can't stand her MiL. Of course, my sisters's MiL is completely insane. Like, drive 15 mph BELOW the speed limit in the LEFT LANE insane. Seriously, my sisters's MiL drives like that in Maryland for crying out loud. Why she hasn't been run over by some road rager is beyond me.

I am trying VERY hard to better tolerate my MIL...for my childrens' sakes.
Believe it or not...it got MUCH better when we moved 2 streets away from my ILs.

When they lived in another state (hour away) they had to stay with us whenever they visited.

DAMN but was that almost another Hiroshima!

My mother-in-law was an absolute bitch for the first year or two of my marriage (married 3.5 years now). Would constantly be manipulative and twist things around. Insulted my mother a few times, heh. Usually we'd go down to her place for xmas every year, but after having a major fight the previous xmas we stayed home at our place. That seemed to wake her up or something. Guess she realized that she was driving us away.

Now she's very nice and the wife and me really enjoyed ourselves going down for the holidays this year. Total 180. I'm still not sure what exactly has changed, but I'm not complaining.

DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE

I hate my MIL. Course, she IS getting better (somewhat) but after her thinking I was a coke addict because I get alot of nosebleeds (Anemic actually.) I had NO respect for her. My coke days were LONG over by that time.
