How many licenses does Final Cut Studio 2 come with? Is it possible to purchase more?

I am still using Final Cut Studio and am about to upgrade to Final Cut Studio 2. It is $499 to do the upgrade. I am looking around but can't find out how many licenses it has and if it is possible to purchase more. I will be upgrading 5 computers to Studio 2 and don't want to buy 5 complete box sets, I would rather just purchase the licenses.

AFAIA, if you buy it, it comes with one license. Apple sells site licenses for K-12, but I don't see anything about a corporate site license.

Hmm ok well I called and they told me the only way to do that is to purchase 5 different copies of it.

Volume licensing for FCS starts at 5 seats, although I don't recall if there's upgrade pricing for Apple VLA.

For most other Apple software (Leopard, iWork, etc.), VLA is minimum qty. 10

Ok thanks if I went through buying the new version do you know the price of each license after the purchase of the full version then? Or do you by chance know where I would go to see? And what is VLA? Thanks!

VLA = Volume License Agreement

They don't have upgrades within VLA; only the full license. Once you purchase the retail/boxed $499 upgrade, you can't just buy "4 more licenses" for the other systems.

To buy FCS VLA, you'll have to purchase 5 full licenses. There's a small price break when compared to the full $1299 list price.

In short, VLA doesn't really sound like it'll help you here (unless you have 6 total edit stations). If you have other questions, feel free to PM.
