And I don't qualify knowing how to count 1 to 10 as know the language.

You can count Sign (different for each region I think) and Braille.

And NO, computer languages do not count. You can't communicate with C/C++ or Java. Try talking to someone in Assembly Code. Hehehe.

My g/f speaks 4, 2 fluently. I don't know why, but I find it extremely attractive. Maybe because it seems like such a difficult thing to master.

Two completely fluently, Japanese and English. My gf speaks three but her German and Spanish aren't too fluent.

The most I've seen my friends speak is seven. It was this guy from Uzbekistan and he could just pick up the language. He'd listen and read and boom, he'd be talking a couple of weeks later. I guess some people just have the appitude for it. One of my profs told us of one time how he went to Europe with his daughter who could speak Spanish, french, german and something else, and whenever she came across someone who didn't understand her, she just switch languages. He said it was kinda freaky in a way;)

I took the time to learn Spanish in HS, but looking back and seeing now, I wish I had wasted my time with a different language.

I've never really spoken it but years ago I could read and right Latin. With a little practice I would be fluent in Spanish again, but it's been a while since I've spoken it. And English of course.

Icelandic, fluently in every way
English, fluently in most ways (need to fix some speling and error gramars :p)
Danish, can read it easily, cant speak much because I need more practice.
German, I can read it somewhat and understand some spoken sentences
Swedish, its so much like Danish, so its in the same stage as German.
Norse, same as Swedish.
Ancent Scandinavian, its kinda almost like icelandic except the wording, I can read books written almost 1000 years ago.

I voted for 3 because I can confidently say I know 3.
