How many IDE HDDs on a P4C800-E Deluxe?

Ok, so I'm way behind the hardware curve, I'm nearly embarrased about how poorly I've kept up with hardware terminology/technology/etc.. So I'm sitting here with my P4C800-E deluxe and to bee honest, it's complicated to me. I currently have 2 IDE HDDs on PRI_IDE, and 2 Optical drives on SEC_IDE. I'd like to add more hard disk space, is there anyway I can add another IDE HDD easily? Can I add normal IDE HDDs to the raid controller? I know next to nothing about the functionality/use of RAIDs, etc.

you could always get an ata 100/133 pci adapter card. they work great for expansion.

Why IDE? Get SATA drives.

Yes, you can add at least 1 maybe 2 more to the IDE channel of the Promise 20378 controller
