How many hours of sleep have you found that you need mostly everyday ? For the people who only need 5 or 6 hours or less does sleep ever catch up to you?

I need to sleep about 8 hours for a day or two in a row to feel completely energized. (i.e. if I sleep 4 hours followed by 8 hours, I'll still be a little tired the second morning.) That said, I rarely sleep more than 7 hours... usually 5-6. I know I should try to fix that, but well... it keeps not happening, lol.

3-4 hours a day, and when it comes to catching up with me, I think it does on Saturday morning, I sleep at 1:00 AM and wake up at 9-10 AM in the, but that's it, usually everyday I wake up at 7:50 AM go to work leave at 5:00 PM go to sleep at 4:00 AM and then a new day starts all over again.

I can get by every day with 6ish hrs, 7-8 is beautiful and I'll wake up without any alarms at 9 hrs but I feel really lazy when I sleep 9 hrs.

I can survive on 5, to feel decent about 6.5-7 & left to my own sinister devices I'll sleep 10 hours.

6 hours here. It does catch up to me eventually, but that's only if I don't sleep properly. I find quality of sleep is better than quantity of sleep. (Short, minimal dreaming, extremely comfortable enviroment)

I notice I have more energy getting 2-3 hour naps than continuous 6-7 hour blocks. Once I slept for 8 hours straight and felt lethargic and tired until I took another nap.

I run too many days on 4-5, then when a day off comes, it's all about the crash. I can sleep for 12 hours, if not awakened by my wife or something else. I've had occasions where I've slept for over 15 hours. Sleep is an escape for me when things are not going well. Lately, life has not been so rosey.

8-9 hours. I need a lot of sleep.

I can function contently with 7 (say, during the school week), but then I'd need to catch up on weekends.

I can function poorly with 5-6, but that definitely catches up to me quickly.

But I only need 3 to know whether to use "your" or "you're."

I can function with no sleep for up to 36 hours (college days as proof).

I can function normally with 3-4 hour sleep (drive car, go to work).

I prefer 10 hours for feeling best and being at my peak.
