How many high res pictures will fit into 64MB SmartMedia?

I'll be going on a trip soon and will probably take a lot of pictures.

I have a Fuji Finepix 1400 with 4MB SmartMedia (which it came with) bought a 64MB SmartMedia from Newegg.com two months ago for $65 now they're selling 64MB SmartMedia for $32 plus $4 shipping and I was thinking of buying 1 or 2 more.

its accordong to how much resolution your cam does and everything.
mine can do 200 or so on a 64MB, and mines a 2.11 megapixel, with best picture setting, and 800x600 resolution.... thats pretty good. and the pictures look just like a real photograph

Thanks I don't intend on printing any of the pictures otherwise I would have purchased a 2 or 3 megapixel digital camera. Mine is a 1.3 Megapixel, does that help to determine how many pictures will fit onto a 64MB SM?

well, prob will fit maybe 100 or double more. but im not sure. you will be able to fit over 250+ on it im sure.

Hmmn maybe I'll charge mine up tonight and go crazy taking pictures just to see how many I can fit onto the current 64MB SmartMedia I already have.

good for viewing, not good for blowups, okay for printing.

Take pics until your 4mb card is filled up, count them, then mutiply by 16. 😀

That's actually not a bad idea.

I use a Nikon CoolPix 950, 2.11 Megapixel resolution, with a Lexar 48Meg flash memory card. It hold 112-116 pictures when filled. Scaling, that says if it were 64 Meg. it would hold 150 - 155 pictures.

Postscript
I didn't see your followup comment saying you had a 1.3 Megapixel camera until after I posted the above. For your camera that would be 242-251 pictures. I think you can safely plan on 250 pictures.
