How many here are overclocking with generic ram?

I have two 128MB modules rated "PC100", and a 64MB module not rated for anything.
Been running solid at 124MHZ forever.

Ok then, i'm on my way to the auto part's store to get a defog repair kit. Hope to get my duron 750 to over 900.

I've been running three sticks of PC133 128Meg CAS 3 SDRam Lifetime Warranty from Pacific Memory Products for about six months now. The system includes a Soyo K7VTA-b motherboard with an 800Mhz retail Duron CPU, overclocked to 1.0Ghz, running Windows 2000 Professional, light to moderate use, no gaming. It's been the most trouble free system I have ever had. I am using it to write this reply.

Some "Generic" is actually pretty good quality..........most of it though........isn't!😉

i agree with "tobeme", i've had good and bad results but if your serious...goto crucial and get some good stuff.....it's almost the same d** price.

I had a Duron 700 that ran stable at 1083MHz using 512MB of generic PC-133 SDRAM on an Abit KT7 mobo. I also had a 1.33GHz T-Bird running stable at 1.54GHz with an EPoX 8KTA3+ and 768MB of generic PC-133 SDRAM.

Kinda funny
I am currently running generic PC 100 @ 112
Thought I'd add a stick of Crucial PC 133 (hey, it was cheap)

It wouldn't work- dang if I know why. Both stick used seperately work fine- but not together. Oh Well, Momma's got the extra 128......

I have generic ram...it is PC 133 CAS 2 and it won't do 137mhz CAS2... but strangely it will post at up to 150mhz but it isn't even stable at 137...

i had generic pc100 ram at 124 for alomst a year using the good ol' bx chipset (the system was stolen 🙁). never had a single problem! but now, since name brand memory is so close to the price of generic, its all i buy.
