How many hard drives can fit on a large Chieftec tower? I think the max is two when their is a floppy drive installed? Where can I buy components that allows me to install more hard drives into the case?

THe one that looks like the antec 1080 has 4x5.25", 2x3.5", 4x3.5" internal. With brackets to use the 5.25" bays you could fit a lot of drives.

I have one optical drive, one floppy and two hard drive already installed

So I have 3 open slots left? Do they all fit in the 5.25 bay?

On larger Antec/Chieftec cases there are 2 drive cages. 1 gets a floppy and 2 HDD and there should be 1 lower, that contains the upper front fan, it can take 3 HDD. Total of 5 with floppy, then you can add the rails that come with retail HDD to the 5.25 area where the optical drives go and get 3 up there if 1 has an CD/DVD drive. Total HDD=8

Tell us or show us what case you have and we can give a better answer. :p

If you get the Antec 3700 instead it has a 5-HD cage with spaces between each drive for good airflow, also a 120mm fan holder right behind the drives (fan not included). Plus 2 more 3.5" bays for floppy / zip and 4 more 5.25" bays.

You could probably fit a few dozen in there if you didn't want them mounted or connected....
