I'm wondering what is normal? I see like 7-10 on top of the bathroom counter a day. I'm like wtf. I've read this is normal but when I was in college etc I definitely didn't see this.

My hair's been falling out at an accelerated rate. I don't know exactly how much, but it's a lot. I still have long hair, but once it starts looking silly, I'll shave it bald.

Means you're over using the shampoo, conditioners, etc. Keep it simple, one bottle for body wash, one bottle for shampoo, sub-1$ each. If you shave your head, nix the bottle of shampoo.

not necessarily. I'm hair impaired from both sides and i could wash my hair once a week and I'd still be loosing it.

Psh.. I was losing 100+ a day that I could count. Yes, it's well on its way out. It's only "slowed" down because I stopped counting, and started shaving my head recently.


You're okay as long as the top/back of your head isn't thinning.

I've worried about this too, but then I look back at pictures of myself from 12 years ago, and my hair looks about the same.

I have almost waist-length hair so it's easy to tell how much I lose. I probably lose 50+ strands a day. When I wash my hair I run my hands over it to pull any loose hairs out and that's usually 5-10 right there. Given the additional amount I pick off my clothes and the frequency with which I need to clean my hairball of a brush, it has to be lots more than 10 a day.

I'm a hairy dude so not only do I deal with hair on my head but on my body too. You don't want to know what the hairballs look like when I sweep my apartment.
