How many guys in the wedding party?

i had 1 best man, 2 ushers but i've been to ones with fewer groomsmen and ones with more. and some with none. but i'd say over 4 is the beginning of being considered a "big" wedding party(assuming 4 on the bride's side).

My friend is getting married next week there will 1 maid of honor, 1 matron of honor, and 5 bridesmaid. As for the groom, one best man and 6 groomsmen!

i think thats fine! nothin wrong with that. I think though, that its customary that the groom gets each groomsman a gift so...

Groomsmen, I think its one for everyone of the bride's bridesmaids. All the guys I know basically just asked
how many friends he needed to come up with to match his wife wedding party.

i have seen as small as 3, and as large as 9.
