only about 6-8 Gigs, but i haven't finished ripping all of my CD collection yet, in fact i just started. so it would probably be about 15 or so when i'm finished.

I'm a big advocate of illegally pirating music...

Until the artists start creating albums with more than 1 hit...

I'm not worried about whether or not the songs are hits (what are the odds, given the near universal 15-song Clear Channel rotation?).. I'm more concerned about the overall quality of the music.

I've got about 65gb of music, 60gb of movies, and 25gb of warez.

I need to get a high powered electromagnet for when the federalies kick in my door.

15 gb, but I mostly have only stuff I really like. If I kept everything I've come across & ripped it'd be bigger, maybe ~25?

i think the more important question here is... how many gigs (or MBs) of music do you LEGALLY own???

Depends on whether you consider Allofmp3.com legal or not.

I really need to get on the ball ripping all my audio CDs to MP3. I started doing it a while ago but then just stopped because I have so many freakin' CDs. When I was a younger lad, I worked at a movie rental place where the owner could get CDs on the cheap and sell them to us for the same price. So I ordered tons of CDs through him... most of the time I was happy with my purchases, but sometimes I just liked one song and hated the rest on a CD. Danzig was an example of that one. Mother rocks, all his other stuff is garbage. 😀 Anyways, to answer your question, I'm up to about 20gb.

You should have gotten The Misfits. Danzig was better back then 🙂

😉 (seriously)

Same here... ... All my music is in forms of CD's I bought... I'm all for supporting the bands I like... The music I do have on my HDD is stuff I recorded (if that counts).... I'm not on my home PC right now so I don't know how many GB of music I have recorded.

what the?! I've never heard anything by the Misfits, but I always got the impression they were hardcore punk... Danzig is anything but that! 😱 This is quite interesting.

Sort of hardcore punk. More like Elvis in hell with a b-horror movie theme. If you ever heard "Last Caress" by Metallica that's a Misfits cover.

man, I feel like a slacker 🙁 I only have 14GB, about 2800 songs, mostly metal, classic rock, oldies and classical. A lot of it is ripped from CDs I have.
