Curious how many GB most download a month? Also how much would be to much? Does it cost ISP's alot more money if someone constantly downloaded 50gb+ a month or would it have to be in the hundreds before they really cared?

Always wondered.

I have no idea, most of my internet traffic is SETI, games, etc. I dont think i would be able to estimate how many gigs go back and forth over the period of one moth between communications from game servers to the client.

so about 20-30 GB a month (i download all my tv shows and also a lot of anime)

your poll is a bit confusing though, lots of gaps

Don't know, but someone should make a poll asking how much gigabytes Azureus says I downloaded or uploaded. No one start with the piracy comments.

I'd say between 3 PC's using this connection daily we manage 20-40gb a month. I never bothered looking but I wonder if Charter has a size cap? If that cap is ever reached what happens? Is your connection disabled till the next month?

I'd guess I've gone over 50gb one or two months.... Mostly I'd say I'm in the 10-15 range though.

When my TS server get used a lot (rarely) I will top out at ~35 GB. Normally I'm in the 10-20GB range.

Usage is
browsing, gaming, audio streaming (Shoutcast), TS server, nethack server, and I host a few small files for crap I post on forums sometimes.

A lot less porn downloading than some of you pervs, it seems.

I've had Charter for several years and never a complaint from them no matter what I did.

There are programs that will record your up/down record traffic for all things. Forgot the site, had a bunch of handy networking & other utilities.

Easy, open up Azureus, go to help, then to make a donation. They will tell you how many gb you've downloaded

On the file sharing networks I have DOWNLOADED almost 100GB. Only Linux ISO's of course.

I have UPLOADED much more in terms of bytes. But its the same damn 2GB of misc. p0rn clips. Nobody wants anything else from me. I share music videos and ROMS, no one cares.
