Fill gallon jug, pour into watering can, count the number of jugs need to fill the can.

It was easier for him to set up the photo, take the picture, upload the picture to the internet and then make this thread.

Heaven forbid he takes 20 seconds to do what you suggested.

Oh please! Stop it right there. Salty Nuts is stumped and yet, in no mood for a logical, straightforward solution.

He thinks bigger than that! You can't that blindsided by a watering can and a milk jug unless you're thinking solely in parsecs. This is a near existential poser and Salty needs assistance addressing its cosmic implications.

Keep in mind, this is a Salty thread. And Salty needs our help!

Dude, are you all right? You sound a bit... off. Like, hysterical. Or delirious. You got a touch of the 'Rona going on?

Yea but I don't have empty jugs that I know what side they are. And I don't want to have to wait until I use that distilled water. I was just hoping one of you guys knew, like maybe watering cans have pretty standard sizes. I dunno. Thanks though.

Forgive me. My limited understanding of the situation and the fellow involved lead me astray.

So drink the water, then use it to fill the can. Or start thinking way outside the box and find a container in your kitchen with delimited markings on it. With any luck you'll find a large one that has a demarcation labeled "quarts". This is akin to the rosetta stone for determining gallons.

(Yes, I am an ass, sometimes I just can't help myself)

You are not an ass, you are just not that smart. Drink the water, fill the can? What can? As I previously indicated, in plain, black letter text, I have no "cans", jugs, or anything else with markings (above like a fucking tablespoon that would take FOREVER to measure all that shit out derp derp derp). I will have to wait until I use that distilled water to measure the gallons using that. Like I said, I was hoping some of you guys, with more garden experience than I, would know off hand what the gallons of that watering can was, or could at least eyeball it better than I. But if not, that is cool. Better you just say that, rather than trying to act like a smart ass but just end up looking dumb lol.

Some day, we'll invent a way to measure things and look back at this like it was silly.

Until then, it is 1.5244432434354 gallons.

The volume is stamped on the bottom of the watering can. Unfortunately, it may be in metric.

So, its weird Sgt. York, it didn't have it stamped on the bottom so far as I can tell, but there was actually a paper label on the bottom that said 2 gallons. So I am good lol. Thanks!!!
