It's all about discipline though. Personally I would probably setup a completely separate computer/network for work so the two don't mix, when it's 5:00, I would then move to my home environment and not even look at work.
My biggest issue though is I would probably turn into a hermit. I'm introvert and am fine with going weeks without any human interaction, but that's probably not healthy.
That is the one benefit of working on site - you get to interact with others. Though some jobs, you can get away with sitting in a cubicle all day with little to no human contact.
