How many flights have you taken since COVID-19?

How many flights have you been on since March 2020?

I have been on two. Normally I fly about 6-8 times per year. Will be flying again in February. Not particularly concerned about transmission on a plane from what I gather.

None since my trips to oversea destinations are cancelled until further notice (those countries only allow their own citizens and very selective number of foreigners to get in and those folks have to do a mandatory 15 days quarantine) and my trip to Las Vegas/NYC is on hold.

Zero; all of my work travel was canceled. My wife has flown several times for her work, and is extremely careful (wears protective glasses and double-masks). Not worried as much about the planes as she is about walking through the airports. Maybe being over-cautious, but we aren't considering any personal travel until vaccine distribution is much further along.

Had a work conference in mid-February of 2020. I'm convinced we got COVID during that trip at some point. Wife + Kids came back and were sick the day after we returned for over a week. I of course have a ridiculous immune system and didn't show any symptoms.

Haven't flown anywhere since.

None. Since a few years ago. Way too costly to fly a family of 4 anywhere. We've just taken road trips everywhere.

I've probably flown about 15 times since the original shut downs and have had zero issues. Flying right now has been an amazing experience. Traveling on the whole has been pretty garbage though - no eating out in many places, bars, etc really makes things a drag.

Edit: About half work, half personal. We traveled for thanksgiving & christmas for personal reasons.

I went on a two week work trip to Pearl Harbor early March. Flight there was excellent .. I had an entire eight seat row to myself as did pretty much everyone. Cases were really low so I wasn’t worried about it, no one was even wearing masks yet. Once it started to be clear that STHF was happening the trip got cut short and we went home early. Return flight was completely packed. I haven’t traveled since and have been to work like five times.

only 2 flights this whole year. I enjoyed COVID airport though. People wearing masks and keeping apart from each other. Airports should always be like this.

zero. I'm still regularly depositing money and growing my fun money/travel checking account while I wait.

None. But that's not unusual for me. The only flight I've taken in the last decade was to visit my mom and help her move when she got her cancer diagnosis.

Zero. But I've only really been on 2 trips in my life that involved flying so it has not exactly changed much for me. 😛 Both trips were paid for by the company.

My last 2 flights were March 9th and March 16th of 2020. I was in St. Thomas when shit started to get real and the NBA then NHL shut down while I was there. Schools were shut down the week we got back too. I remember landing at Dulles and couldn't believe how ghost town that airport was.

We did just book a trip to Puerto Rico in August. I am booking the flight today. We are also planning on going to the Caribben in April or May. I plan to be vaccinated by then as well.

Then in October we're going to Roatan and in November to Aruba.

That is the plan for now but we'll see if all of that actually happens.

I have not flown since 2014. I can't trust my employer from one month to the next to not see the light at the end of the tunnel. So, no vacations in +6 years.

Zero. And I've probably spent an extra $10K on computer hardware, electronic drums, VR, etc this year that otherwise would have gone towards travelling. But given we have a 21 month old toddler right now, it's not like travel would have been very enjoyable anyway.

And now with negative covid test requirement before you can board plane back to the US if you travel out of the country, I have no desire to vacation travel even to open places like Mexico. Because to fly back to the US now, I would need to find some place in Mexico to get covid test 48 hours before my flight back home. What if I can't find reliable place to get tested in Mexico in the 48 hours requirement time slot?

I thought about flying to Korea but I have to get negative covid test in the US 48 hours before flight to Korea. Then once I land in Korea, take another covid test and then pay $2k per person to quarantine for 14 days. Then before I can fly back to the US, I need another covid test 48 hours before the flight back home. That's minimum 3 test for negative plus $2k quarantine fee per person and 4 or more covid test if I test positive anytime while out of the country. It's crazy and no leisure travel is worth that kind of hassle.

Zero... i am not risking myself especially with crazy people, and little kids trying to bypass the mask rule after the plane takes off until i have had my vaccination.

0, but I have a domestic and international flight credit from some canceled vacations in 2020 that I'm going to have to re-schedule soon.

That said, having spoken with people that have flown, it feels like the golden age of air travel once again with all the space/few people and all the benefits that brings.
