How many flavors of P3 650 are there?

Can someone tell me how many different kinds of P3 650 are there? I know some chips come in E or EB version. Is the 650 Coppermine?

All Pentium 3's above 600MHz (650+) are Coppermines. The 650 is an E, which is a Coppermine running at 100MHz FSB. EB Coppermines only run at 600MHz, 667MHz, 733MHz, 800MHz, 866MHz, and 933MHz. I refrain from saying the 1GHz, because it's not available 🙂. E Coppermines run at multiplies of 50MHz @ 500MHz and higher, (550, 600, 650, 700, 750,).

I found that here are many flavors of the PIII650. I just searched at intel lastnight to locate all the info on mine, a SL3XK and found several listings for a 650 before actually finding my chip. Look for the PIII Processor spec Update at www.intel.com

On the Spec sheet, there seems to be only one kind of p3 650. But somehow, I get the impression there are more.

There is the Slot 1 650 and, then there is the FC-PGA version. There are also an OEM version and a retail version of both socket and slot. Then, theres also two different steppings for them, the cA2 and the cB0. So, that makes 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 different Pentium III 650 CPUs. All of them are Coppermines, so they all have the full speed 256KB L2 cache.

My personal favorite is the FC-PGA 650 cB0 OEM Costa Rica overclocked to 1014MHz on a 156MHz bus 🙂
