i live in california.

So do I and I own 12 guns. What does that have to do with anything?

as far as i know, california is one of the few states that does not allow anyone under 18 to possess guns no matter what? other states allow minors (regardless of age) to possess firearms. correct me if i am wrong.

It's a federal law that all firearms owner has to be 18 or 21 depending on the firearm, it doesn't matters if you're under the state or whatsoever. hell, I'm sure there are 14 yrs old people in Calif that does hunting as well but doesn't own the firearm. It's common sense. With hunting license you should be fine as long you have the proof with you.

Currently 0, however once I get my "FOID" card, I plan on purchasing a Shotgun (by this fall).

I also would like to eventually get a Bolt action rifle, perhaps an M1.
I'd also like a 44 magnum revolver

Though those things will come over time .. probably after a year or so ...

(FOID = Firearm Owners Identification ... required in Illinois to own ANY guns.

18 years old you could legally own a shotgun in cali

21 years old you could legally own any other legal gun in cali

I wanted to get a Bushmaster AR-15 X-15, I dont think its legal in california.

But Ill get a Beretta Tomcat .32 in about 2 years.

You could own certain types of "assault" rifles / banned guns I think, if you legally owned it before 2000 or 2005 depending on the type of law.

Glock 22 .40
Glock 26 9MM

I have a 12 and a 20 gauge shotgun, but they are at my parent's house several hundred miles away. My father left them to me, but I've never taken possession of them.

A .22 Air rifle.

One .22 revolver.

Two .22 rifles, one semi and one bolt.

An AKA

swedish mauser

And a Revolver that I can't recall what caliber it is.

I would take pics of them but my Dad is really anal about me messing around with them.

None. I live in NYC.

I wanted to go shooting for the first time, but I'll have to pay $50 to go to the (only?) shooting range here. Plus, I'm only permitted to operate a rifle, since you need a license (and thus, a gun due to 30 day rule) to operate a handgun.

Paintball isn't a firearm... Lame. Even if so, then I got to add the Phantom pump that I have to my list as well.
