I think I had 70 some friends when I "deleted" my account. I used to meet cool people briefly when I was WWOOFing and when I was in the NCC, so I used it to keep in touch with them. I weeded that list out, got phone numbers/emails of people I wanted to stay in contact with and never looked back.

it's a mix of my local friends, long-distance friends (eg: college friends), work-related networking, family members, and old hookups/dating interests (who didn't work out, but either post interesting enough things that I like reading their updates or who I'm keeping on my psychological back burner in case we're both ever single again)

around 125ish. I can say that I do know everyone on my friends list and still talk to most of them. Its either family, friends from before I moved to a new state, and friends from now. Usually I go through it every other month and delete people. I know at one point I was one of those with 500+ friends but didnt care to share my life with them or hear about theirs.

I have 48, I had 250 until I bought an android phone. For some reason the Facebook sync, takes phone numbers out of Facebook and inputs them into my cars when the bluetooth syncs up. I got sick of having all the numbers in my cars, so decided if I didn't talk to the people at least once every couple of weeks by phone i would delete them. Truly horrible tech by droid and facebook, but I can't say I moss the people.

I have 88. I actually went to message one of my friends the other day and he was nowhere to be found. Seems he deleted his account lulz. Lot of people have been doing that. I don't really see the point. Just stop using it. I'm not really a huge Facebook fan, but I frequent it every now and then. Half the people in my list I never talk to lol.
