How many eggs do you eat for breakfast?

I'm a short guy (5'9") and I normally have from 2 to 4 eggs, depending on how hungry I am, 5 in some rare occasions. My mom who's a health nut claims 2 is just about right and more than that is unhealthy. I don't feel 4 is too much but I want to know how many everyone usually eats so I can draw a comparison.

So please specify how many eggs do you usually have for breakfast (when you have them of course) and what's your height and weight.

For my Sunday breakfast, I'll have 3 eggs, cooked up & basted. Sunday breakfast usually also includes bacon or sausage, potatoes o'brien, and sourdough pancakes. :)

For my day-to-day breakfast, I'll have 5 eggs, but just the whites, with a half cup (measured dry) of old-fashioned oats.

2. Sometimes I add egg whites to increase the protein content without increasing the amount of cholesterol.

Generally 4. Along with half a pound of bacon, a pile of hash browns, and a couple of slices of toast.

At least 3, but I could eat 4 probably. It really isn't unhealthy to eat more than 2 eggs.

During the week I don't have eggs. My work week breakfast is usually a bowl of Kashi cereal, glass of orange juice & coffee.

Weekend breakfasts are usually 2 eggs (over easy/medium), toast and the occasional breakfast meat.

I usually eat 2 eggs when I eat eggs. I don't normally eat them though. I'll drink one every few days.

Eggs are decent foods, nutritionally, but they certainly aren't great. Look here, but click on "1 large" in the serving size. The important thing to see is the colored graph in the middle. You want more filling and more nutritious. Eggs are about average on both marks. So, you could do better by adding other foods (something with more nutrition or something that is more filling, or both).

One large egg is 4% of calories in a 2000 calorie diet but it is 8% of the fat. If you ate only eggs to get your calorie needs, you'd be double the fat intake that you should have. So, you are a bit high on fat, but it isn't too bad. Forget about cholesterol, there is almost no scientific evidence that cholesterol you eat has any impact on your body's cholesterol level.

Eggs are high in protein which is good. And they are decent in vitamins/minerals (values for those nutrients as you can see in the link are near the 4% value for calories).

The real problem is that you have 0g of fiber in an egg. A little bit of something fiberous would really help your breakfast be more filling. Try a little bit of high-fiber cereal and one less egg for a much better breakfast balance. The cereal will fill up your fiber needs and won't add much fat. The combination is far better balanced than either one alone.

I won't even bother to ask her to back her claims, I eat as many eggs as I like and I just want to know about everybody else ;)

Usually every morning I have 3 eggs that I scramble with diced ham, mushrooms and tomatoes and cheese. I then add one piece of wheat toast and a Bannana and that is breakfast for me.
