How many derisive emails does it take before a Congressman can "come getcha"?

My district's congressman is Rep. Clyde, renowned for calling the Jan 6th insurrection/riot nothing worse than tourists on a tour thru the Capitol.

So, I get emails from his office...sadly.

So I reply. Like today. Clyde's rather upset that the $1.7T infrastructure package of Biden's isn't solely on roads and may increase the U.S. deficit.

I asked him today, via email (which means, of course, Clyde's not reading it but a staffer), where was his complaint/opposition to the Trump 2017 tax cuts that's added $4.7T to the U.S. debt.

I also asked him to arrange a Capitol tour for me which should include:

1) Clyde hiding behind a door, barricading himself inside while crying for his mommie

2) Let me carry a flag pole around and use it as a javelin towards the Cap. police

3) Supply me with bear spray and a cop to spray (If need be, I can supply my own mace)

4) Have a laptop/lectern/etc. available for me to "steal" as a souvenir of my tour

Have asked for these every time I get an email from Clyde's office. Darned near have a template for it.....with pics. (Clyde behind the Chamber's door, holding it shut with a cop next to him, holding a gun....)

How long do y'all think it'll take before Clyde gets perturbed? I do this at least weekly. ;)

Moved from OT.

I don't disagree with that. I'm opposed to bundling unrelated items together. I think a lot of this mess could have been avoided if each proposal was separate. Get some passed without all the hooey.

That’s rather naïve of you.

Best way to do that is get rid of the filibuster and republicans being willing to vote for things that benefit their districts. With how the senate have been perverted by Mitch, everything had to be shoved into one giant bill.

None of these things would pass if they were voted on individually. Not sure if you noticed but we have an obstructionist party that will vote no on anything other than a tax decrease.

Rules of reconciliation mean you only get one shot/year. No Republicans would vote for ANYTHING in the reconciliation piece and would filibuster. So how do you get any of it passed?
