You don't have the chairman card? (I think it's either chase or citi)

What a LOSER!

Haha:) It's no use to me anyway, I have both the Centurion and Platinum from AMEX, which covers everything the Citi Chairman does besides the Priority Pass club rooms in airports, but I mainly fly Delta, Continental and AA which AMEX covers. I don't wanna pay $400 for something similiar.

But yes, I am a LOSER!

in the order of when i got the card:

amex blue student card- started out with $500
amex blue cash- to boost my credit limit
citi dividend- for the old 5%/1% cash back
chase cash plus rewards- for the $100 cash bonus and that sweet 5%/1% cash back
chase sony card- for that sweet $150 statement credit
chase freedom rewards- for that even sweeter $200 check

i think all my cards were obtained for a reason...

I never call shens on someone, but I'm calling it this time. You have 2 personal cards, with an average $1.5M each? Finance and credit cards is my domain and I've never heard of that before. The AMEX Centurion has a maximum hard limit of $1M unless you wire transfer funds into their bank before the purchase. That was the maximum they allowed for me and through others, the same ceiling was set. The Citi Chairman and White Stratus (and perhaps the other premier VISA/MC Signature and Quantum if you want to put them in that category) doesn't come near there for a limit.

Which card is it? Brand and type please.

I have 1 of each of the 4 biggies (amex, mastercard, discover, also a visa debit card).

The advantage is that sometimes you'll get a special promo offer that applies only to a certain card, such as "free shipping when you use Mastercard" or something like that. And at the target and circuitcity websites for example you get 5% off with discover card.

I currently have 31 credit cards.
About 20 of them are less than 1 yr old.
My FICOS are in the upper 600's when they were in the low to mid 600's a year ago.

4 AMEX
16 Visa/MC
1 Discover
The rest are various store and gas cards.

I have one for emergency use only and I haven't used it yet. I learned my lesson a long time ago when it comes to credit. It took me ten years to rebuild my credit. If I can't buy it now with cash then I don't buy it.

Azurik, do you invest your credit in savings accounts, as noted earlier in the thread?

There's an online bank with a 6.0% savings account I saw on FW forums. Can't remember the name.

If you apply for a ton of 1yr 0%BT cards and pull $100k into the 6% savings account, you can make $6k in one year for sitting on your ass doing nothing (minus some BT fees probably, but it's still thousands of dollars).

You should've broke the 1-5 category down, that's what I was curious about.

I have a Citi Dividends something-or-other (still get 5% back on gas and groceries... I hear some people don't?)
I still have my first card from my bank, but I don't use it.

Yeah, although AORs aren't quite that simple. Most people do months of research before attempting one.
