i r am.. I suppose Puerto Rico could be called a "nation" but I am using more of the nation-state definition rather than the more vague term

68. It didn't recognize 'Czechoslovakia' - answers listed it as 'Czech Republic' (ed: ah, post above mine explains it. I appear to be severely out of touch - hehe, I even threw in Zaire initially)

I forgot most of Europe - Greece, Spain, Portugal, Iceland, Finland etc. Also zoned out a few times for several seconds. My attention span FTL.

From wiki: The Republic of Zaire (pronunciation: [za?.?r]; French: République du Zaïre) was the name of the present Democratic Republic of the Congo between 27 October 1971, and 17 May 1997.

Had to look it up after it rejected it. Hehe, I always assumed Congo was some other place.

yes.. so we are in agreement now. I am confused as to your first reply to me. Anyway PR could (and probably should) be considered a "nation" as the Animaniacs stated it was, since a nation is not necessarily a nation-state or "country."

66, but I have a hard time with the "tip-of-the-tongue" effect. Also missed a lot of Southern Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

80. I could name them off quicker than I could type them, also some I skipped because of spelling errors. :(

If I could name them off verbally I would be well over 100.

I tried this a while ago. Best I did was 123. First try I got 99. To get 100 or more you have to methodically move from one continent to the next while keeping 1-2 countries "in queue" so to speak so you are never not typing. You also have to be able to type fast and have good spelling.

EDIT: That was a different version that accepted all sorts of non-countries (Hong Kong? Guam? Puerto Rico? Greenland?). In this one I got 116. I like the stats at the end.

49, so, what's the point of this? Seems more like a typing test and/or ability to type/think simultaneously test.
