How many corporations are there in the world?

I am writing a paper with someone, and they started off the intro with "millions of corporations"...

That seems like a lot. Could there really be MILLIONS of corporations throughout the world?

I'm thinking we should play it safe and use a more generic term.

Thoughts?

There very well could be. A corporation doesn't have to be the size of Sony or Exxon Mobile. A corporation can be one person.

I believe it takes a minimum of three President,Treasurer, and Secretary to form a corporation.

I don't think so...

But thanks for the info!

In this case, it says that millions have crises every day. Not millions have issues, but full blown crises. I'm going to use the word "countless" instead.

Those are roles, not people. One person could play all those roles, no?
