How many console gamers here couldn't give two craps about pc gaming?

Which? Crysis? Far Cry was absolutely fantastic, so it's very likely Crysis will be as well. Obviously it could turn out to be a terrible game, but any game that's hyped could. It's like Blizzard's games, you know they're going to be instant classics.

I guess that's where our difference lies. I enjoyed FarCry, but wasn't amazed by it or anything. The few videos of Crysis I've seen make it look like a prettier FarCry. Is it going to have co-op? UT3 on PC and likely Warhawk on console is going to be filling my multiplayer needs, so Crysis will be a campaign-only game for me . In the end I'll likely end up getting the game, but I'm not just as hyped up about as some people.

I used to care more about PC games; my interests is waning while I am constantly getting more absorbed into my consoles.

Very few games are better on the PC IMO. The only games I plan on getting in the new future for my PC are Spore and maybe Hellgate: London. Also, the only game I bought recently was Oblivion, and I'm glad I bought it for PC because that game was horrible without serious modding in my opinion. However, RTS and FPS will always be better on the PC, unless you connect a keyboard and mouse to your console.

Oh..wait..RTS..I forgot. STARCRAFT 2!

+2 PC gaming interest points.

Hardly. If you don't care about real gems then your opinion is completely irrelevant. Obviously opinions differ, but it's one thing to dislike a games entire gameplay-style and then just hating it to hate it. I don't own a 360 currently, but I'm excited for Halo 3. I can't wait for SSBB. I can't wait for GTA4. If a specific genre isn't your thing then fine, but hating a game simply because it isn't on your system of choice makes you completely worthless.

No, it really was a stupid thing to say. And you followed it up with something equally stupid. I don't give a rat's ass about Crysis, and it's because it doesn't appear to be the type of FPS I enjoy. Neither is Halo 3. I'm sure they're great games, but they're not my style. There are a lot of great games that I didn't much care for. It's called taste. It has nothing to do with it not being on "my system(s)."

No, co-op was removed from Crysis to make the release date. This was mentioned about... 3 months ago maybe?

Well not everyone is following every little detail of every game. just because you know doesn't mean everyone else does, especially in the console forum.

Got rid of my high end rig mainly for the fact i only played Company of Heros. Wasn't instrested in anything else. Im loving my xbox 360. Just waiting for a few games to come in the mail.

Jesus christ, I wasn't attacking the guy... I was merely stating how new the news was to show how worthwhile it is. Back the fuck off.

Although I own every console except the PS3, I prefer gaming on my PC. If a game is ONLY available for console I will get it, if its on the PC as well as consoles I get the PC version.

Same (except I own the PS3 as well).

I think PC gaming is better way to go but I just found that I can't afford to upgrade to the latest hardware to keep playing games on the PC.
So I bought a PS3 I like it a lot, it look awesome on my 50" plasma. I will Buy a XBOX 360 some time later once they show to be more reliable and I have the extra cash.

I wish their was a way for me to more the PS3 with more ram though. it runs PS3 games great and dose a lot of other thong real good but I want to load Linux on a separate external Hard drive. The extra ram would help a great deal with that.

Couch + big screen HDTV + free instore rentals from Blockbuster just makes console gaming a lot more convenient/comfortable than PC gaming.

I've done a combination of PC & console gaming for the last 18 years but have finally turned the corner and stopped buying PC games after buying into this latest round of consoles.

PC sucks, no good games no good variety. All FPS and Strategy. FTL. Not to mention the hefty price tag and driver/framerate issues.

I used to be all about the PC games, but that ended when WoW took away all my friends. Then I got into the Revolution.

I prefer gaming on the PC...but I dont have the time or money to keep it updated to the latest and greatest. hence, i do most of my gaming on consoles.

I still have a decent gaming PC that I don't think I've used to game since I got my Xbox 360 on the Elite launch day back in April.

I only spent a night or two on Supreme Commander and loved it but I just haven't gone back to play since it came out. And you know what's sad? I would have loved to play games like Rainbow 6 Vegas and Bioshock exclusively with a keyboard and mouse but I've become a bit of an achievement whore. I'm a self-hating gamer.

The only game I care about on PC is Team Fortress 2, because I have been waiting 7 years for that damn game. My computer is 3 years old, I bought it to play Half Life 2 mainly, so I hope it is still good enough because I sure as hell ain't upgrading.

So all console games never have framerate issues? 😛

I haven't had a driver issue for 5+ years. All it takes when it comes to PC gaming is not being a dumbass.

While most my gaming is on console right now, Crysis and Gears w/extra chapters and content, has me eying new vid cards. I'll grab a nice flat panel HDTV to use as a monitor, and let the games begin. I'm just very into gaming right now, and the platform isn't a factor nearly so much as the allocation of funds to support my habit on all of them. 😉 Since I'm getting spoiled on large displays and surround sound, it has indeed relegated my PC to a ubuntu box lately, but as stated, I will try to find the fun money to change that soon. <Homer muttering> Stupid paying off my house by next year! Getting in the way of my toy $$$</>

or it takes a loser who sits on the internet all day d/l patches, drivers, updates and spends more time tweaking the game than actually playing it.

My patches all download automatically, by default. I update my drivers once every two months or so. That's all I do.

Like I said, there's only issues with PC gaming if you're a dumbass. Or if things are beyond your control, like Bioshocks auth server going down which, ironically, didn't happen to me either.
