How many computers do you have for personal use?

I figure most of us are geeks and have quite a few computers; but even I was surprised when a co-worker told me he had 23!!! I myself have 4 - one main, one computer entertainment center, one personal laptop, and one work laptop (that I use for personal stuff at home).

So how many do you have. Don't count the ones that are used only for business. if you have an ISP in your house, don't count your servers. So lets tally it up... shall we?

For those of you that have 20+, I'm curious, what do you use them for?

i HAD 2.. but gave one to my sis and one to my mom. i supposed i can still use my sister's pc (as im on it now), but my mom's is for work.

jeez... I wonder if post count is proportinal to how many computers you have. I would assume many of our ATOT regulars would have at least a few.

Once had four (main computer, server, htpc, laptop)

Seriously considering adding a third just for my sons' games so they would leave my computer alone.

I only use 3 everyday, day to day. I have others like a Sun Sparc LX, VAXstation, I-Opener, and a half dozen x86 boxen in my closet. Don't use these at all, though.

What do you do with 5,10+ computers anyways? (Assuming they are all for yourself.) I'm getting quite curious as to what why someone would have so many computers just lying around.

One currently. Most I've ever had one one point in time was three. Having a backup system is nice and all, but if you never use it, it's kinda a waste.

i've got 3 one under construction.


i've got a laptop (which i will be selling once college is over). a main desktop, a server that is under construction. and a old celeron that i test parts on. you dont really need that many machines. i dont really consider the celeron a machine i use for real work, and the server i'm building to learn some win2k stuff so maybe i can get a better job someday.
