How many college credit hours?

Right now, I'm registering for classes, but I'm not sure exactly how many I can take without overextending myself.

I currently (and plan) to work 30-40 hours a week.

Any full time working college students? How many credit hours are you attending?

I'll be doing 14 hours with a 40 hour/week job.

Depends on your major, the job, etc. My normal mix throughout college was about 15 credit hours (5 classes) and about 30 hours in retail. Now I'm working the full 40 (graduated last August) and going back for some computer courses (about 4 classes) this fall and next spring. Someone with a major of say Undeclared or Women's Studies will obviously be able to take more credit hours than someone doing EE or Biochemical Engineering.

I am taking 3 hours a quarter. very slowly working on my masters

I did 19 credit hours while working 40+ hours a week, plus commuting 1/2 an hour each way to school. I also coached kids soccer at the same time, plus was married with 2 of my own kids (hence the coaching - they were on the team) I was majoring in mathematics... plenty of homework to do.

I don't recommend it.
But if you do, plan on eating your meals while you're sitting on the toilet... Or, plan on chosing each day whether you'll eat or go to the bathroom.

I decided on 15 Credit hours...

Psychology
Fundmentals of speech
and Programming...

All are 3 credit hours a piece.

Classes from 9:00am to 5:45pm on mondays and wednesdays, with 1:15pm to 3pm for lunch. And a Math Lab at 11:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesdays.

i beleive mt school is the only one that doesnt do the credit hours deal

we just took 4 classes = 4 credits, needed 32 to graduate, 4 each sem

i eaisily had 17-22 most sems

worked 30-40 hours a week for the school

I'm an engineering major working 40 hours per week taking 16 units. It's not easy but if it's worth it to you than you'll do it.

First Quarter of my freshman year and I'll be taking 18 credits, but 3 of those credits are easy seminar and adivising stuff....
