How many CD's/DVD's do you have total?

Went through and did a headcount of all my music and data cd's and all my DVD's and I've got something like 427 cd's, 1/3rd of which is music, the other 2/3rds are software and data storage cd's, graphics, and personal data, logs, etc that I've stored up over the years. I have 253 dvd's total too, including a lot of Anime. And to think at one time I totally swore off CD's and said I'd never own a single one. Opps, broke that promise to myself. 🙂😀😉

How many do you guys have?
 
Oh, side note. If you're curious why I've got so many cd's and dvd's, well, I'm a packrat when it comes to cd's, and I've bought the DVD of every single move I liked that I could get ahold of a DVD for. This includes multiple cd compilations like Lord of the Rings and Dinotopia, Gullivers travels and many more.
 
i want to find a program to read/catalog my music cd's

i found a couple of things on freshmeat.net that were close, but not quite what i want

i want it to read the info in and display it on a web interface
 
how many are in a pound?

I've got spindles left and right and a couple books filled to the brim (from back when I had few enough movies to be able to actually organize them).

my estimation is somewhere in excess of 750.

hehe. And I purchased all of them. Been building the collection for quite a while. Been thinking of inventorying it for insurance purposes. I've got a ton of out of print stuff.

Well, I'm not too terribly hardcore in the CD realm. Most of mine is backed up and stored data. I'm religious to the point of being anal about doing regular backups and making copies of important files. I hate to loose anything. So sometimes I kinda overkill on doing backups. CD is my choice of media.
